Livingbridge Invests in Semafone, a Leading Data Security and Compliance SaaS Platform
Organisations rely on Semafone’s easily deployable and feature-rich data security and compliance solutions to prevent unauthorised access, collection and storage of sensitive information across all customer communication channels, i.e., telephone, webchat, email, SMS, social media, QR codes and more. This prevents data breaches, identity theft and payment fraud, and enables organisations to comply with critical consumer data protection regulations, e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, PCI DSS v4.0 and others.
“We are excited to announce our partnership with Livingbridge, given their significant prior experience in both communications and security technology, and their impressive track record with high-growth companies,” said Gary E. Barnett, CEO of Semafone. “Livingbridge’s investment will allow us to continue to enhance our global leadership through continued solution innovation, global expansion and enhancing security and consumer experiences for our rapidly expanding customer base.”
“Semafone is widely recognised as a best-in-class solution, sitting at the complex intersection of fast-paced customer communications, payments, data security and regulatory compliance,” said Curt Kahn of Livingbridge. “There are strong market tailwinds reinforcing the need for consumer data protection and we believe Semafone is well positioned to capitalise on these. At Livingbridge, we have a global network and a great deal of experience supporting the growth of companies across different markets including North America, EMEA and the APAC region. We look forward to partnering with Gary and the team to support the acceleration of their growth plan.”
Livingbridge’s investment will be vital in facilitating Semafone’s ambitious growth plans in the US, building its regional channel partner network through increased investment in product development and people on the ground.
The investment was made by Livingbridge 7, a c.£1.2 billion private equity fund which commenced its investment period in November 2020.
Livingbridge was advised by Alantra and Pinsent Masons. Semafone was advised by DC Advisory and Eversheds Sutherland.
